Clinic Information:

Clinic Lead Coach – Shannon Winzer

We are very excited to offer a 5 hour clinic with former Team Australia and current Team Canada women’s volleyball coach Shannon Winzer. Coach Winzer has a wealth of experience competing and training at the highest levels internationally, and will bring this amazing experience and knowledge to train athletes at this clinic. The clinic will focus on sharing and teaching key concepts and skills that are currently being implemented on our women’s nationals team. This will be a great learning and growing experience for our athletes.

Session #1 – Intermediate/Advanced

Session #2 – Beginner/Intermediate

Clinic Information:

This is an intermediate to advanced defensive clinic open to all athletes and all positions, who are looking to develop their defensive skills. Training will focus on building fundamental skills and introducing advanced defensive techniques. The following topics will be covered:

  • Defensive position and movement
  • How to see and what to see during a rally
  • Overhead digging
  • Forearm digging
  • Various methods to extend defensive range 

Serve - Serve Receive

Clinic Information:

This is an intermediate to advanced serve and pass clinic open to all athletes and all positions, who are looking to refine this critical part of the game. Training will focus on building fundamental skills and introducing advanced serve and pass strategies. The following topics will be covered:

  • Platform and angle control
  • How to see the serve and how to react
  • Overhead passing
  • Forearm passing
  • Jump float
  • Jump spin 

Killer Ducks - Attacking

Skill Level: Athletes must have a minimum of 1 year of indoor club team or equivalent experience to participate

Clinic Information:

This is an intermediate to advanced defensive clinic open to all athletes and all positions, who are looking to develop and refine their attacking skills. Training will focus on building fundamental skills and introducing advanced offensive skills. The following topics will be covered:

  • Arm swing technique
  • Footwork technique
  • Transition from defence and serve recieve
  • Attacking mindset

*Training fills up very quickly, and a wait list will be created

*There will be no refunds for missed sessions

*Athletes will be placed into groups based on their age, skill and ability levels to ensure the training they receive meets their needs

Refund Policy

It is club policy that refunds will ONLY be given under extenuating circumstances. Return of the registration fee must be approved by the registrar and will be prorated if the sessions have already begun. Refunds are subject to:

  • a $30.00 cancellation fee
  • prorated amount, based on the amount of sessions elapsed
  • deduction of unrecoverable costs (i.e. facility fees, affiliation fees, equipment, etc.)
